Myös Themiksen päätökset syntyvät vihan ja rakkauden ääripäissä.Victoria Hislop on tinkimätöntä taustatyötä tekevä kirjailija ja taitava kertoja, jonka historiallisissa romaaneissa mennyt aika herää eloon yhtä aistittavana kuin tämä päivä.Victoria Hislop (s. 1959) on brittiläinen kirjailija. Hän sai vuonna 2007 parhaan tulokkaan Galaxy British Book Awards -palkinnon esikoisromaanillaan Saari, josta tehty tv-sarja sai suuren suosion. Hänen kirjojaan on käännetty noin 30 kielelle. Suomeksi hänen tuotannostaan on julkaistu romaanit Saari, Elämänlanka, Paluu, Ne, joita emme unohda sekä Saaren jatko-osa Eräänä elokuun iltana. Hislop asuu Kentissä puolisoineen, ja heillä on kaksi lasta.
