Der vorliegende Band enthält mehr als 30 Abhandlungen von Wolfgang Frisch zur Legitimation staatlichen Strafens. Die einleitenden Beiträge gelten der historischen Entwicklung zu einem legitimationsorientierten Strafrecht. Der zweite Abschnitt ist Grundfragen staatlichen Strafens gewidmet: Welche Verhaltensweisen dürfen überhaupt mit Strafe bedroht werden und welche Beziehung muss eine Person zu ihnen aufweisen, damit ihre Bestrafung legitim erscheint? Die Konkurrenz denkbarer Konzepte staatlichen Strafens wird im Abschnitt zur Theorie staatlichen Strafens behandelt. Weitere Abschnitte befassen sich mit dem Zusammenhang von Strafkonzept und Straftatsystem. Für ein legitimationsorientiertes Strafrecht bezeichnen die allgemeinen Straftatvoraussetzungen das, was die Strafe im Einzelfall legitimiert. Juni l980. Sie stellt die Rechtslage in diesen skandinavischen Staaten sowie die in dem vorgenannten Ubereinkommen vorgesehenen Regelungen umfassend dar und zeigt bestehende Unterschiede auf."
