Zachary Austin Behlok

A collection of eleven previously unpublished critical and creative essays written by Zachary A. Behlok between the years 2020 and 2021. In the words of Behlok, "the essay topics range from the ideology of death, the sociological effects of racial injustice, my first perception(s) on existentialism, and more".

The Advancement of Humanity is an essay relating human creativity and intellect to the perspectives needed for humanity itself to move forward positively towards societal advancement."The fact of the matter, in life, is that with the world currently holding around 8 billion people and who knows how many came before, meaning lived and thus thought], chances are that every potential mainstream idea associated with a human need has been thought of, and every potential tool or invention has already been blueprinted within another's mind, even if this subconscious creation was never brought into fruition meaning prototyped and/or manufactured]. There may very well be times, potentially even more often than not, in which this occurs, especially within the life of a thinker. Now, the advancement of humanity can only truly occur, not just by thinking or imagining, but by taking these thoughts and ideas and subsequently transforming them into an action or creation" (Behlok, 2022, p. 84-85).

Behlok: "This text seeks to give my own poetic take on various philosophical and psychological topics ranging from rebellion to depression, and so much more, while doing so in a way that is easy to grasp. I find that it can be very difficult for us, as individuals, to fully realize and understand that the world we reside within is not necessarily perfect - I seek to tackle that by means of relaying my own perspectives regarding such in a way that is unbiased yet emotional. Perception of the world around us differs vastly per the individual, and by learning of another's perspective, maybe it will become easier to understand your own. This book hopes to assist in self- realization and understanding in ways previously deemed impossible."
