John Dollond FRS (10 June O.S. (21 June N.S.) 1706 - 30 November 1761) was an English optician. He followed his father's trade, but found time to acquire a knowledge of Latin, Greek, mathematics, physics, anatomy and other subjects. Allan Flanders was one of the leading British industrial relations academics and his ideas exerted a major influence on government labor policy in the 1960s and 1970s.
