This collection contains four different short books, each of which was too short to be printed as a paperback edition on Amazon. They are still available, however, as e-books.For the Love of Nature is a collection of stories about birds and animals. I have studied wildlife since I was a child and love to write about them. I've been an outdoor writer for many years and have written for several newspapers and magazines. I also am the author of several books on wildlife.The stories included in this collection are: Book 1: "The Ancient Art of Falconry." Book 2: "The Mammoth Slayers: Why the Series was Written." Book 3: "The Last Mammoth." Book 4: "I Don't Want to be a Pig " The last two stories are for children, but many adults may also enjoy them. "I Don't Want to be a Pig " received a great review on Amazon, so I'm sure many will enjoy it.Most of my books have received great reviews and Five-star ratings. Some of my books have even changed lives. Others said they were touched so much that they were crying as they wrote the review. "The Mammoth Slayers" are my most popular books by far and there are four in the series. "Mysteries of the Bible" is next in line and closely followed by "A Cabin in the Woods." There are also many others that have received terrific reviews and they are listed at the end of the book.

Many of us, if not all of us, have had things happen in our lives that cannot be easily explained. Perhaps it has not happened to you but it has happened to a friend or relative.I have had several things happen in my lifetime that cannot be easily explained and that's the reason for this book. I must say up front that many of these strange or unexplained things seem to be from God. If that seems offensive then this book is probably not for you.Some of these incidents were dreams that came to pass in every minute detail. Other things happened that I have no earthly explanation for. A few things are just odd or strange and I thought they were worth mentioning.I am hoping once this book is published that readers will share some of the extraordinary or unexplainable events that have also happened in their life. If so, I will try to include them in this book at a later date and they can be shared with the world. Loneliness can be one of the most difficult things to live with or endure. Sometimes it is impossible to escape. It also comes in different degrees and in severe cases, it can even be deadly. Why is loneliness such a hardship for some and not for others? It is an affliction that strikes millions of people. In many instances it is the elderly that are lonely, but it can happen to the young and old alike. In addition, it is almost impossible to go through life without feeling lonely and the pain and sorrow that it brings with it.There are some people that enjoy being alone for much of the time. Others like being alone for short periods of time. A few do not mind being alone all the time and they feel fulfilled. Then there are those that hate being alone.In this book I will address the many different reasons for feeling alone and how I have dealt with it, or how others have. I hope by sharing my thoughts and feelings about this important subject, it may help others that are going through the same thing.My Christian faith has played a big part with me being able to deal with all the pain, sorrow and loneliness I have gone through. If this is offensive, then perhaps this book is not for you. Even though you may not be a person of faith, there still could be some things helpful knowing that someone else has lived through the pain and loneliness you or a friend may be feeling.

There are seven books in the Mammoth Slayer series. The Prequel is the second book in the series, although it can be read first or after any of the other books. This prequel goes back twenty-two years before the first story begins. It gives a glimpse into the past lives of the characters in the first story; who they married, who they lost or when they were born. The prequel is full of conflict, danger, love, exciting hunts and sorrow, there is even a little humor. It is the story about the life of a Neanderthal clan with all the ups and downs of everyday life during the Ice Age. Although this is a work of fiction, much of it could have taken place and I have tried to write a story that will engage the reader and entertain them. It is full of encounters and hunts for prehistoric animals such as: woolly rhinos, mammoths, muskoxen, bison, dire wolves, saber-toothed tigers, wild hogs, and others. The books in The Mammoth Slayer series have been my most popular works and I have written dozens of books of several genres.

There are seven books in the Mammoth Slayer series, this is the fourth. As last we left the clan, several members were still living, but clan leader Braum had just died. On the same day he died, a baby was born to Hunter, Braum's grandson. Before closing his eyes in death, Braum saw and held the baby. He asked Hunter what he was naming the child and Hunter said he was naming the baby after him and the child would also be called Braum. Since there are no other Neanderthals anywhere near them, the clan is slowly dying out. The story then jumps ahead to when Braum is twenty-years old and long past the time he should have been married. Because of this, he and his father decide to try and retrace their clan's route that brought them across the land bridge to what one day would be America. They want to return to the land of their fathers so Braum can find a wife if any Neanderthals are still alive. It will be a long, dangerous and arduous journey, but the men have no other choice. They do not know if they can make it, or even if they can find their ancestral home. If they do, what will they find? We will soon find out in this great adventure of the Mammoth Slayers.

This is a story of adventure and drama in a mysterious land of strange animals and countless dangers. Strange animals like monothorian dragons, grawls, hopspurs, vulgons, triodons, dreers, dredons, giant forest wolves, "thunder beasts" and others. The Gossets are a race of tiny people, who lived on the earth before humans and the world as we know it. They are the ancestors of all the little people, which would later come, except for Elves.The Gosset's island-continent is invaded by evil beings called Dregs. After which no one will help the Gossets defend their territory. Even the Trolls turn their back on them and also become their enemies. Now the small clan of Gossets have no choice. Commander Rufus T. Gruff, Queston, Nason, Orpis, Markis and Nod must go to "the top of the world" to find King Zedar, to see if he can help bring justice to the land of Adreus. Note: Adreus is pronounced A-dree-us.

This book is mostly about the birds and animals of Indiana, although many of these species live or did live all over North America or in the eastern United States. The author has included several of his conservation stories that were either published in his newspaper columns or were in local, regional, or national magazines. In some of the stories, Ken made predictions about the future of some species returning to Indiana, which have since come to pass. There are a few other stories from his book "Life Along Little Pigeon Creek"; stories such as The Panther, The Ingenious Trap, and The Great Yankeetown Easter Egg Hunt, which people of all ages will enjoy.There are also stories about some spectacular birds that once were common along Little Pigeon Creek where the author grew up, but are now extinct. Other stories are about the successful reintroduction of birds and animals into their former habitat. Species which had completely disappeared, but today, are so common that few realize they were ever gone.Therefore, I'm sure if you love wildlife, there will be many stories in this book that you will enjoy. The Mammoth Slayers: Last Clan of Neanderthals is a story of adventure and drama in the prehistoric days of the Ice Age. I have continued the saga with some of the same characters in a small clan of Neanderthals. Not only do they survive the harsh and brutal environment, they must hunt and kill giant and dangerous animals to feed, clothe, and protect themselves. Things are not always bad, however, as there are times of excitement, love, heart-touching moments and even humor. These books have been my most popular and I have received many great reviews and numerous Five-star ratings. Many of my readers said they have loved the stories and others have said they fell in love with the characters. Since then, I have updated the books and now they are even better.

He was lured into her clutches by her captivating and seductive charms. Yes, she looked good 3/4 very good, and he was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. But just like the female black spider, she may turn on him, and with cruel, unmerciful brutality Will he escape in time or will he just be another victim 3/4 the third husband that she has killed? Perhaps he will see her true colors before it is too late and escape 3/4 perhaps not. Therefore, step into her web if you have the nerve. Some have and they have never escaped her venomous bite. This is why I named this book "The Black Widow."

There is something in the water of the Arkansas River - again The creature that attacked the animals and humans that previous summer was unlike anything anyone had ever seen or heard of before. Everyone believed they had caught and killed the creature that was terrorizing the residents along the Arkansas River and the tributaries that flowed into it. Or did they? There are speculations and theories, but since the victims never see it until it is too late, no one knows for sure what the monster is or how it came to be in the waters of Arkansas. Some think the creature may have come from the ocean and became trapped when the new Mount Carmel Dam was erected, which blocked its exit back to the Mississippi River. Others think it could be a giant alligator or even an overgrown catfish. Some even think that it could be a shark, which has somehow adapted to fresh water. Then there are a few that think is an unknown creature such as the Loch Ness monster. Only catching or killing it will answer the questions once and for all. However, it will not be easy to capture or even find the mysterious monster as it has plenty of places and water in which to hide.

This is the fourth book in the series and the second edition. It now has 50,000 words, and is the longest of the four. If you have read the three previous books, you will understand that you never know what to expect. If you haven't read them, you should because then this book will be much more enjoyable as you need to know what has happened in the past. The first books will lead up to the discovery of where these monsters came from and will cause the reader to believe there could be more out there. Even though this is a book of fiction, it is based on scientific truths, research and what may very well be in our future. For, if man continues to "fool with mother nature" there is no telling what he could create. It could very well be like "Jurassic Park" with real monsters running amuck and terrorizing humanity. This story is full of drama, suspense, and is laced with rumor. When I finished the third book in the series, I thought that would be my last, even though I closed it with a teaser for one more. Then I saw a review of someone that really liked the stories, and was sorry to have read the last one and wanted me to write another in the series. Therefore, I did.
