Peter Drucker's System of Management in a Business Environment

Peter Drucker was a force of nature when it comes to the development of the managerial mindset of the latter 20th century. Like Athena emerging fully grown and dressed for battle from the head of Zeus, Druckers ideas discovered and identified a framework for a practical philosophy of business that continues to be found useful as a tool to navigate the ever changing ebbs and flows of the uncertain seas of business from the local to the international. His work has been considered important and worthy of study. The Fellows of the Academy of Management voted Drucker s 1954 book The Practice of Management the third most influential book of the 20th century. Just to review the titles of his many books from 1939 to 2008 would bring you a structure for pursuing an understanding of the philosophy of business management. Among his many ideas, he early predicted the disappearance of the blue collar worker, the importance of nonprofits for improving the community of lives of those who help and those who have been helped, the necessity to adapt to changes with eyes firmly fixed in a forward direction, and the increasing importance of the knowledge worker and the need to keep learning to adapt to the changing world. The subject is broad but the dynamics beneath the hood are organic and distinct, and deepen with more study and attention. It is hoped that this introduction to Druckers thoughts and insights will serve as an inspiration to those preparing to cultivate their future in the business world for a better tomorrow. DrLuther Guynes, Ph.D. has dedicated over 45 years to higher education as a Professor, Department Chair and Administrator. DrGuynes received his bachelors degree in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Under the mentorship of Dr Peter F Drucker, he earned his Masters Degree in Economics and Business Statistics and his Ph.D. in Government Finance and Public Administration from Claremont Graduate University, Claremont California. DrPeter Drucker considered DrGuynes an outstanding student, gifted cooperative colleague and an esteemed professional. DrPeter Drucker describes DrGuynes as follows: Luther C Guynes, is probably the ablest administrator I have taught. He has compassion combined with the necessary toughness. Altogether he is one of the few naturals in administration I have met.

BINGE EATING DISORDERDo you consume abnormally large amounts of food in one sitting? Do you doubt that your untimely binging is a problem? Are you someone who is not comfortable revealing that you suffer from binge eating disorder? If your answer to any of the above questions is a "YES" then you have got hold of the right book.Binge eating is a serious disorder that masks itself as overeating and can go undetected for long periods of time. It may surprise you, but binge eating affects more people than bulimia and anorexia. Consuming abnormally large amounts of food in one sitting becomes a regular feature in the life of binge eaters. Most of these individuals don't even recognize that there's something wrong with them until they get overweight or obese. Part of the reason why this happens is because there is a lack of awareness among people with regards to this disorder. The symptoms are often passed off as overeating and most people think that it's normal for someone to eat until their guts hurt. The very reason we wanted to come up with a book for people suffering from binge eating disorder was to spread awareness about it so they don

Knight’s Cross Holders of the SS and German Police 1940-45

The members of the SS and German Police who received the Third Reich’s highest military award have received extensive coverage from the earliest years of World War II research, however previous attempts at documenting all the Ritterkreuzträger (Knight’s Cross holders) of the Waffen-SS have been highly selective in the degree of coverage allocated to each recipient, with much focus being granted to select luminaries and very little to those deemed more obscure or controversial. These earlier works, the best known of them authored by Waffen-SS veterans, have also largely reflected the political opinions of their authors rather than presenting the facts alone. In this first volume, intended as a handy reference for the use of historians and militaria collectors alike, the author presents rare and useful biographical data, derived primarily from SS personnel files and other contemporary documentation, on 178 SS and Police recipients of the Ritterkreuz. Lavishly illustrated, it contains hundreds of diverse and often striking photographs of the recipients covered. As noted military historian Hugh Page Taylor writes, `[This] fine reference [that] Mike Miller has now made available is a great relief, one I know I share with others seriously, objectively and without bias interested in the men of the Waffen-SS and Police.’
The perfect book to help anyone 50+ get the most out of the Internet--safely and securely!
The Habsburg province of Moravia straddled a complicated linguistic, cultural, and national space, where German, Slavic, and Jewish spheres overlapped, intermingled, and sometimes clashed. Situated in the heart of Central Europe, Moravia was exposed to major Jewish movements from the East and West, including Haskalah (Jewish enlightenment), Hasidism, and religious reform. Moravia's rooted and thriving rabbinic culture helped moderate these movements and, in the case of Hasidism, keep it at bay. During the Revolution of 1848, Moravia's Jews took an active part in the prolonged and ultimately successful struggle for Jewish emancipation in the Habsburg lands. The revolution ushered in a new age of freedom, but it also precipitated demographic, financial, and social transformations, disrupting entrenched patterns that had characterized Moravian Jewish life since the Middle Ages. These changes emerged precisely when the Czech-German conflict began to dominate public life, throwing Moravia's Jews into the middle of the increasingly virulent nationality conflict. For some, a cautious embrace of Zionism represented a way out of this conflict, but it also represented a continuation of Moravian Jewry's distinctive role as mediator—and often tamer—of the major ideological movements that pervaded Central Europe in the Age of Emancipation.
Kenpo Perspectives: The Diversity of American Kenpo

Kenpo Perspectives: The Diversity of American Kenpo is filled with a wealth of information for all American Kenpo practitioners and instructors around the world. American Kenpo founder Ed Parker said, "Every Kenpo black belt is a style unto himself." Every person is different and each person who studies Parker's system creates his own style of that system. This book illustrates that concept while displaying the common ground found within the system, and also provides a lot of insight from many different perspectives for those who truly want to dive into the inner workings of the American Kenpo system from its inception to what it is today. This book includes a detailed analysis of the perspectives, interpretations, and beliefs of some of the top American Kenpo instructors in the world about the blueprint of American Kenpo and how they understand it, teach it, and apply it. Kenpo Perspectives: The Diversity of American Kenpo is a book of interviews with 15 of American Kenpo's top Masters and Grandmasters who truly care about giving back to the art and perpetuating it for future generations. Each of the 15 interviewees answered the same 33 questions to show a variety of different branches from the same tree. The 15 American Kenpo dignitaries interviewed for this book include: Chuck Sullivan, Dave Hebler, Michael Robert Pick, Sean Kelley, Doreen DiRienzo, Rainer Schulte, Bob White, Paul Dye, Pat Salantri, John Sepulveda, Dennis Conatser, Steve LaBounty, Skip Hancock, Brian Duffy, and Rich Hale.
